It would be nice if the messaging was a little more specific.
For example, instead of:
Your clanmate BlackMagus has left the game.
It'd say exactly what why he left-
Your clanmate BlackMagus has rented.
Your clanmate BlackMagus has died in combat, oh no!
Your clanmate BlackMagus walked into a death trap, what a newbie!
Then you could setup sound effects in your mud client, such as a laughtrack for whenever a clanmate DTs.
