Pretty sure I read all of the pet/training files, but nowhere did I see it stated how many total ranks a pet can earn. Is it 30 like normal chars or is it a separate system altogether? I'm assuming it's not possible to learn every single pet ability at once, so that info would be very helpful to have in planning out what to choose.

The system is still in test
The system is still in test mode, there's a theoretical limit of 50 ranks but it's not really possible to reach it. You're supposed to experiment with the system and share your thoughts. So far there is a dragon at rank 10, a couple at around 7 and the rest are still pretty low.
