I have been trying forever to train riposte... My fencing is good currently, but my riposte will not train no matter how much I use it. It went to bad, and now I get especially skillfuls constantly, and can't train anywhere. Any ideas?

If you get an especially skillful and can't train in any scout guild the only possibility is that you are not high enough level to continue training it. Get some levels and try to train again.

I may be wrong, but I think there are some skills that won't hit superb until level 30. One character I played last wipe I was set on maxing skills for at every level, and there was one key skill that didn't hit superb until the high end of 30, and I was training as well as I could.
Riposte I have no idea about, though, so for now I'll just shut up again. :)

A surprising number of people dont know how to use riposte right, but still get it trained a bit by sheer luck. This of course might not be your case, but I would pay close attention to whether your skillfuls are for riposte or for fence.

There's definitely stuff that could use some work, (such as instincts messaging you in the third person), but riposte implementation isnt one of them. If you're going to bitch, at least do it about something that actually needs fixing, so the staff can see to fixing it.
... why is it so surprising
... why is it so surprising to people that some skills cant superb until level 30? If this werent the case, there'd be no incentive to get there except the extra 10-20 hp, maybe some saves, and (eventual) access to ranks.
