Rent decay timers

Ok, so I know that work is going on with the rent decay timers and such and I just want to know if it has been completed. I've found an item that lasts for about 24 hours (real life time) in rent (tested this twice). Granted, it was enchanted, but isn't 24 hours kind of short? Heck, is it even meant to have such a short timer?

Enchanting an item will

Enchanting an item will significantly lower its timer, especially on rent decay items.

The particular Item

It seems a bit unreasonable for this item to have such a fast rent decay though. This item seems to be geared for enchanting, in fact it's the enchanting of the item that makes it good. Whats the point of getting a high enchantment and making a good weapon if it's just going to decay on you by tomorrow? I'll bug the item in game so you know which one it is, but perhaps instead of making the item decay in a day enchanted, maybe make it a quest to load or already enchanted when loaded, or something that makes it worth the effort to load the weapon and the enchant item that is used to make it a good weapon but not decay in a day.

Why?

What's the point?

Aren't enchantable items pretty much only useful IF they are enchanted? It isn't like we are allowed to go ahead and place additional enchants on our 3d6 3 3 primes. If that was the case, then I could see certainly reducing the decay timer.

Is there any enchantable item in the game you wouldn't enchant so you could have a longer timer?

on the subject of enchanting...

why does enchanting a weapon increase the rent cost randomly?

So those without the proper resources can't comparatively guess at the level of enchant based on rent amount, and you don't lose the value of enchant from a flat rate.

At least that's my guess.

blah blah subject is required blah blah

but, if the rent increase wasn't random, wouldn't it still serve the same purpose?

timers

these decay timers suck.. And takes all the fun out of the game.. Its like a job now if you want to keep the same eq caue it decays so fast..

Then go pop someone elses

Then go pop someone elses decay. The game has improved alot because of the rent timers. Things are actually loading occasionally.
