Anyone down for a duel tournament? Simple rules: randomly assigned 1 v 1 duels, arranged in a single elimination tournament format. The specifics can be debated (gear, environment, level, tournament duration, etc.), but the winner would be the last character standing who would take down a large cash prize plus a special item/spell.

You taking donations, or planning on loading up a spell to give to a character, or are you wanting the immortals to pony up?

We do not have immortal sponsored events for the first 6 months of the wipe, but this sort of tournament can certainly be run later.

Well, it wouldnt be to hard to have all the people interesting in doing 1v1 to go locate a couple zones, find one with the book, run the zone, and then have the contest afterwords to find who gets the book/eq/cash that loaded in zone.
Just requiries a trustwrothy leader that will give it all over afterwords.
Or you could even run the tournament with the agreement everyone will stick arround after to spam the zone of the winners choice until something loads.

sounds very good, cept the prices should be spread to top3 or so.. depending on amount of people of course.
should probably also make 1 tourny where everyone had same eq, and other where people could use their own, id luv to try both
