The things that require less time.

What would it really solve? Sure it'd be fun for a little while. But say Relentless won a couple of fights. Then all of the sudden there's an influx of the old bsp ppl that come back and play and added to the current (and growing) numbers of bsps, they'd have 20+ on all the time again (reference Mavlad's sufpost regarding their expected numbers next wipe). Yay.
Or take the other side, say bsps win the fights. Then most of relentless probably gets bored and stops playing (it's not like we've even had a 10 man group on more than maybe three times in the last month). Yay more players taken from an already diminished playerbase.
So what's the war really going to do? Maybe a few players come back briefly, maybe a few end up leaving, pretty much the status quo doesnt change.

We haven't beaten PvE yet, not too mention, we are not the hardcore type clan that BSP is. We don't have the numbers BSP does (especially with their new acquisitions), and we most certainly don't have the time BSP does. 85% of us have wives/girlfriends, a good portion of us have families beyond that, and ALL of us work. Three characteristics that are wholly incompatible for the kind of 'war' you are asking for.

I think you undervalue yourselves, a good number of bsp has wives/girlfriends/kids too, there is only a few hardcore people in bsp that can log major hours, most of us are at work all day.

I think a war could be fun, since we have similar play times. I actually crank my speakers up full blast at night before I go to sleep so I can hear Mavlad beeping IRC at 4am to fight RGB's.

Bsp outnumbers EVERYONE. If one of the smaller clans wants to war them, then more bsp who are semi-retired also come out of the woodwork. Is it really in anyone's best interests to be at war/outnumbered by an enemy durring their playing time? The idea behind playing a game is for enjoyment. Not being able to play will do them no good, and will not to the mud any good overall, should players be lost as a result.

If you guys want to war somebody SO badly, why not fight yourselves? You've got enough people to "wargame" and have 10v10 within your clan. There's plenty of things you can do. Split apart, if you're that desperate.

It would be fun to war ourselves, but there wouldn't be much thrill in it. It's a huge adrenaline rush fighting an enemy group because if you die, chances are you will lose your nice shinies. And if you make a mistake your whole group could suffer. There is nothing more fun in arctic than clan warfare, not even close. I think we're just tired of doing the same zones over and over again to repop our decays. Maybe someone should form a anti-bsp coalition and give us a nice ass-kicking.

That's cause you're still playing win-at-all-costs instead of for the primary motivation of fun. BSP players aren't the only experienced players in arctic who like to war clans, there are plenty who don't play atm because the playing fields aren't even. If a clean slate was brought on in which a pwipe occured, all clans dissolved, and people started to rebuild clans simply by zoning at the beginning of the wipe without knowing who anyone was it would be great. I bet 4 or 5 high level clans would emerge and start to war, and a LOT of fighting would take place. Of course this can't happen because people develop relationships and trusts with other players that they want to keep. Unfourtunately arctic isn't a friendly game in the sense that friends act as opponents, like a weekend softball game where teams are new each week but everyone has fun. I think no one has split off of BSP to form a new clan recently because BSP members don't learn leadership, instead they follow around mavlad and whoever else, which is cool except that you never learn to develop a clan on your own. All you ever learned how to do was join a clan and not put in any of the work to create one. Edit: maybe this isn't true. BSP has people who helped create the clans dark moon and more recently confederacy. So these people have the experience in building a clan, but probably joined BSP to gain top-tier clan experience and more knowledge. This means they are learning how to do the hardest zones, how to plan the best pks, and how to run a clan efficiently. Hopefully once these people have learned all they can from BSP (which kinda seems like a school for players and not necessarily in a bad way) they will leave BSP to form their own factions (probably won't happen soon).

BSP split once recently (outlaw / bsp) and this was motivated by people showing leadership by leaving one clan and forming a new one. But if you just wanna follow around the same old guys doing the same old zones the same old ways, hoping that you'll get to experience 10v10 at best once a month vs RGB then it's probably a bigger loss to your playing experience to mine.

I just don't think much of anyone is buying that very many in BSP have wives, girlfriends or kids. The fact that you have at least 1 person willing to wake up at 4am to fight is a testament to the dedication that only BSP has for fighting an enemy. But once a dominant clan has been formed and all has been conquered, there is nothing left because you have vanquished all challenges. All challenges except assimilating the whole playerbase into your clan of course.

And if you do have wives or girlfriends, you're not sleeping with them in the same room. "Sorry, hon, those red goblins are assaulting my clan!" is not going to be an acceptable excuse at 4am when your speakers are turned all the way up and irc is beeping like nuts.

Perhaps a clan system will be one the next major overhauls to come to the game. But in the mean time, even those who would like to fight BSP, just fall short of the man power to do it.

Ok, Ok, You're right about one thing. My wife is sleeping downstairs atm because we have 3 kids and one is a newborn that is very bad at sleeping and our room is right beside my other kids room so we take turns staying up with the baby downstairs. I won't dare turn my speakers up in a month or two when things are normal again, unless I wanna sleep in the garage. But bsp is no different than any other clan, we are normal people with normal lives (mostly) and the majority of the clan is older with girlfriends/wives and careers. I agree that we have slightly more members than most clans, but it's not like people think. I mean some jackass actually said that we have 50 members?!! Theres usually between 20-25 in irc and most of them are unable to play because they're at work or whatever.

I do. It's pretty much just /notice some people are quitting and forming new clan. Then tajs/nis + ahma quit with mostly bsp eq to form a new clan (nobashes dragonorbs etc).
Next wipe they couldn't load a shit and been playing semi naked.
