Lately we seem to have come upon quite a few spam registrations and even thread resurrection from spambots.
If you check out the memberlist, a good portion of the members we have are actually just spambots.
Are there any plans to put into place a turing test or similar? I think there are some phpBB addons out there that would do this.

Personally I haven't seen anything like this. I see some users that could possibly be spam bot created but the few I saw had 0 posts. Got any examples?

I see. Well short of going to admin approval for all new users, we'd need some patch. Probably only 2 people that can add anything to the forums on that scale...they know who they are.

Commenting
I haven't commented on too many boards because I haven't found anything that affects me personally yet. That could be true of other players too. Not necissarily that we're bots.
