Title: Why Arctic?
Post by: Saint_Ronin on September 26, 2013, 09:49:27 AM
This is something that kind of stumped me. I understand that the logo for Arctic is the three moons. What I don't get is why it is called Arctic. Was it from a book in the series I haven't read yet? Is it reference to the cold and lonely feeling of Ansalon when nobody is on? Is it a reference to the soul of the black mage that runs the game from behind the scene, summoning mobs to prey on the weak and gifting the survivors with a free dragon to ride, as long as they can defeat it?

I think it is because you really have to be stuck on the north pole (in the arctic) to be bored enough to still play it.

I think its because of the hostname from when the game started.

Good guess, but I named it that because it was really frickin' cold here when I first started it.  (Winter in Canada)
