General Discussion / Re: Rank Scripts

Kill them.

As a reminder:

help rules
12) The use of 'bots' (client scripting to the extent that progress can be
made in the game without the sustained presence of an active player,
or your connection to the game remains only due to said scripts) will
result in the deletion of the 'bot'. This applies whether the 'bot' is
used to do activities or merely to keep the character connected.

A group associated with the use of 'bots' will suffer penalties for
the presence of a 'bot' in the group. The MINIMUM penalty will be 1
month in the abyss for every character in the group. This means group
leaders should be extremely vigilant about the players they invite to
group. Everyone can tell the difference between 'bots' and players.

If you feel like game aspects are so boring you need a 'bot script'
please go instead to the Ideas forum (http://arcticmud.org/forums) and
submit an idea on how to make the related activity more varied and
thus more interesting for the human players.

General Discussion / Can we look at rank mobs?
« Last post by Jorake on December 14, 2018, 10:22:17 PM »
If we are going to make a grind to rank 25 the standard from now on, lets at least up the reset timer for rank mobs full rank potential or something. You say 'branch out branch out" but i quite literally lead 75% of the game or even a bit more. And ranks are bapting slim. Basically on the verge of quitting again. This coming from the guy who never actively TRIES to rank. I just do shit. And end up legending. Zone leading is my thing. I do it fast, and efficient. And ranks are such shit right now.

So please can we just make the time on which ranks reset from 0.01 back to full lower?

The biggest gripe I think most people have with rank 25 requirement, is you have to almost pause zoning to rank. With everyone being able to play two at a time, high level zones are being done more frequently as well as the mid-high zones where people can 'solo' with their two guys.  I love being able to 'legally' play two guys at once, I think what I really want is to have just more zones in general. I like revamps, but adding NEW content to spread out the zones would be great.

Is the redesign of Quekul meant to make it higher level?  I sincerely hope not as that zone is a staple for mid-high prelegend chars and casual players.

I bet it'll have more ranks. On that topic, if you are having trouble ranking, try to branch out. Run a zone you don't normally run, or learn a zone you don't know. If you are a level 30 character trying to rank, you can solo a ton of zones that have rank monsters.

Happy hunting.

Yeah, 0.01 and 0.02? No. That's the opposite of what a game is meant to be.

Shamans lack the spell damage but heal just as well as druids. Shamans put out far more melee damage. Shamans can rit voyage out of some risky situations without failing the spell.

Try  shaman! They’re the best

I have to...... Agree with Bruton. Whoa. He makes a good point in shamans and druids need quite a few spells to be good but without knowing where to get them.... Eventually you'll hit a wall ok what you can successfully do. Clerics can guild spell all the way, learn heal and get cloak and gust from super low books. Cleric/tank or cleric/thief is fun
