I'm still laughing about this post and how someone could possibly complain about Shamans.
Fact #1) Shamans do the most damage per round out of any class.
You can watch a shaman double oblit while casting while frenzied, or just summon 5 spirits to all double massacre/annil an opponent.
Fact #2) Shamans are often better healers than healers
Most zones can now be done without a healer. And in fact, especially if paired with a druid using healing cloud, that probably becomes almost 90%. That also is in regards to buffing/debuffing. Shamans have restore strength, sanctuary, etc. Regenerate, healing wave, etc. Legend tenacious heart is a group hero. Don't forget omen and ghost skin. Healers get steelskin, but can only cast that on themselves, and obviously it's only decent against bludgs/etc. Healers also get legend heal, which remove curse spells (is this ever useful?) and casts a cure ser for a round or two after.
Fact #3) Shamans are best soloers in the game.
Sorry thieves, shaman cash dish out your backstab damage every round. With ghost skin, omen, and their healing spells, damn near invincible.
Fact #4) Shamans are the most important group buffers.
Clerics have stuff like "holy aura" or "prayer", which obviously are not a ton of help. Shamans can resist everyone in group for big fights. Makes them essential for top mobs.
They can also knock out no_bash casters with hex in PK.
Conclusion - Shamans can basically fill the rolls of clerics, druids, and damage tanks. Only bashers, mains, and possibly big area casters are necessary outside of a good shaman.
So please, don't complain about Shamans anymore, it's getting old.
