I was thinking since having our healerbot is now not going to happen, many people are still going to want to be able to solo and learn zones. Expoundin on what corey was saying about by the end of the wipe having 5x oblitting characters, how about a more realistic approach would be this.
What would you think if the rank system was changed.
How would the mud be affected if the value of ranks increased exponentially?
For example - immunity to an element/gas/breath 6 ranks,
1dam 2 ranks, +1 spell slot 2 ranks
So by the time you are level 50 you are downright godly,
and new characters are tremendously at a disadvantage to someone who even has only 10 ranks on them. This further increase the value of older characters and allow people to really customize the class they are playing.
