March 27, 2020 --- Spell Component System Improvement
« on: March 29, 2020, 01:36:16 AM »
March 27, 2020

This announcement is several hours delayed, but today marks a historic
event: the spell components system has become even more useful and easier
to track!

Whenever a character successfully brews or scribes a spell for the first
time, the spell formula will be 'mastered' and committed to memory.

Mastered recipes can be seen with "brew recipes" or "scribe recipes,"
depending on the skill type. A '*' in front of a spell's name indicates
that it can be crafted with current components on hand.

Furthermore, "brew recipes components" or "scribe recipes components" will
list ONLY spells for which the caster holds components to craft.

Please reference HELP SKILL BREW, HELP SKILL SCRIBE, and HELP COMPONENTS
SYSTEM for further information.

May you all die,

Not to bring any wrath down, but you should be using "an historic" instead of "a historic" in this context. Both are technically correct, but an is more proper.

:)

Is that a Canadian thing?  That grammar would never work in my region.

I'm actually not sure, quite possibly British. Some years ago I brought what I thought was a typo in some text lore in WoW(?) up to the game masters. They told me it was correct and gave me references and such. I wish I still had the links as they were quite extensive. It was a good read.

Language adapts over time so it probably doesn't matter as much now, but it's interesting to hear about old grammar rules.
