some help with Dk quest

I have started the lvl 25 dk quest and I am thinking I am on the right path. I was asked to scout an outpost and find info on a previous scout. I have found the outpost after getting lost in the plains every time and have managed to clear it out and search every room. I have done this several times but I am stuck. Am I cold, warm, hot? Am I even digging in the right place?

Hi Jonas,

There are some hidden rooms for the DK quest. One room has a hidden exit (no keyword required), another room has a hidden door (keyword required). Behind both of those is the scout you are looking for.

Your info was helpful. I am getting closer each time. I found the guy I was looking for but then he asked for proof from the corpse of the leader. I kill everyone I could find and I never found any proof to show the guy. I must be missing another guy or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

make sure you search the corpse of the leader properbly to find some proof. Get all corpse doesn't always cut it :)

Thanks for everyone who help me in the forum and in the game with the DK quest. Yesterday I almost got it. Sadly I died and lost everything on both characters.

  I lost the best weapon I have ever found (Executioner's axe) which really made a big difference so I am not sure how I am going to get back to even the same level of strength to take on the quest again. I have never come across other axes or 1 handed long swords that together even match the output of the axe. Plus it was very cool to have the axe sort of built my character around it form a role playing perspective.

How do people (newbies) recover from losses like this?

I thought that maybe I could improve my power buy buying rank perks. Can anyone recommend some suggestions how to gain more rank solo and are there any guides on how to use low level rank perks? So far I purchased the ones that lower my AC but not sure where to go from there.

So far I only have rank 7 on the DK. I am only a casual player and often can only play at off hours so it makes what I can do difficult. I did manage to get my DK to 27 and my druid to 25 by mostly grinding it out.

The World Merchant (WM) that is in every major city (Balifor, Kalaman, Palanthas, Solace and (finally) Tarsis) is the best way to get re-geared up after a total loss.  That axe you mentioned is in there sometimes as well as other 2-handers that are better and 1 hand combinations that are better too.

Checking the WM often is the key to having decent gear if you aren't able to do a lot of zoning.

If you don't know the stats of most gear, Palanthas and Solace both sell "a Scroll of Legend Lore" in the magic shops and also have the WM so you can easily Lore everything (assuming you have the coins to buy the scrolls).  You can do this in other towns as well but those 2 are the easiest for mass WM loring.

To be honest the easiest way to solve your problems would be for you to make a cleric as an alt character for your dark knight. Might take awhile to grind it up but the curing power will do you better than the damage/curing output of the druid.

Also, start shouting for groups and people will group you even if it's only for an hour or so. Then tell to those people when you're on if y'all hit it off.
