August 30, 2018
You have been deleted.
Thank you for playing.
The game is still currently locked to all mortals and will remain locked
until Friday, August 31 at 11PM UTC.
We are hard at work getting as many changes done as we can during
the downtime and a full list will be posted before we open back up
again. In the meantime, here are some changes that we are ready to
tell you about:
SPELLS:
- The load locations of most druid spells have been changed.
- The red robe spell 'astral locate' has been removed from the game.
- The regular locate object spell remains!
- The cleric spell 'flamestrike' is now fourth circle instead of fifth.
SKILLS:
- Shamans will have fewer spirits to manage. Sorry, not sorry.
- Barbarians are now a little better at using two-handed weapons.
- Barbarians now have the 'target' skill, for all the good it will do them.
- All casters got a little better at brewing, all but shamans at scribing.
- Clerics and druids took some bandaging lessons from shamans.
- Clerics and druids took some melee combat lessons as well.
- Shamans seemed to have skipped these lessons, they didn't need them.
CLASSES:
- A more thorough post regarding changes to druids will follow soon.
- Hitpoints for casters were fiddled with ever so slightly.
- The shaman guildmaster in Port Balifor found a space on Guild Road.
DRAGONS:
- Dragons are scary again, and they are many. Be cautious, we recommend it.
- The thing we mentioned about dragons is for real, you should be afraid.
- You remember dragons, right? Well they are mostly a lot more dangerous.
- If thinking about dragons has you excited, you are wrong. Tremble.
- We added more dragons to the game, we upgraded several, we removed some.
- All of the dragons we mentioned are very likely to be able to kill you.
ITEMS:
- A great many items have been modified in a number of ways. We
leave these for you to discover for yourselves with just a few
comments:
-- Overall, weapon max damage has been lowered. In many cases,
minimums (thereby averages) are actually higher. A
compromise. Only the best weapons were strongly affected.
-- The percentage bonuses to damage done are no longer in use on
items. Look for more shiny damroll in its place in most cases.
-- The percentage bonuses to healing done/healing received have
been lowered overall, but there's more of it.. so, compromise.
-- Some percentage based regeneration bonuses have been changed,
up and down.
-- The percentage based bonuses to extra_attack have been
reduced overall. It was well out of hand.
Stay tuned for more and we'll see you soon!
