possible returning player: Reading that pk damage has been reduced to nothing?

Hello all,

Returning player who dabbled a few years ago but originally played during the great days of the original rangers and pzars of yore....


I'm reading on the forums that pk is nearly impossible now?  Granted ,PK got a bit annoying the last time I tried a few years ago, but PK was a core part of this mud.  I'm very sad to hear that.  Is this permanent?

PK has been reduced to a quarter of what it was and there's nothing saying that organized PK in tournaments wouldn't be fully restored.

What was nerfed was the singular ability of a person, clan or clan(s) to singularly ruin someone else's experience by griefing.

I see.  While I don't disagree that even back in the days I played (Horde and Shriners running rampant) getting PK'd and losing your limit items was annoying, it was part of the game.   I am sad to hear that this is no longer a real concern or risk.  This was one of the few things that set Arctic aside from others (besides the amazing dragonlance specific gameplay and areas).

I'll give it a shot, but I'm disappointed to hear that this is the state of things. :(

That may have been unclear.  PK is still a thing, and it's reasonably balanced now so a couple guys can't just one round someone.  That's not really nerfing or removing PK, it's making PK more balanced and more tactical.  .  My sense is that attacking a player does 75% damage instead of 100%.  So a backstab that might be 100 damage on a mob is 75 on you.
