why are ranks the way they are?
« on: May 20, 2017, 01:58:00 AM »
you can grind dozens of ranks for hours and not get anything above 0.05.  and then kill some level 10 wandering priestess in the road and it gives more than all the previous hours combined.   why?

the fastest group can make it to rank 20 in what, less than 1 day?  then a slower group could potentially hit all of the exact same zones behind them and not even make it to rank 10.  seems wrong.

is there some way this could be improved?

Get in front!  Or kill a lot of road-priestesses!

That's why I have rank stashes.  You should explore more than just a few zones.   I've found hidden gems on more than one occasion.

did personal ranks used to be a thing?
i'd like it to be a thing.

maybe a way to tell what zones were done recently?  seeing that .01 all the time gets frustrating.

I have suggested before that the help area command use ansi colors to show how long its been - over 48 hours = green, 12-48 hours yellow, under 12 hours red.  But no one has to time to do that kind of work/coding. Everyone in Godshome is working for free!

The world merchant is an excellent way to find out what zones have been done recently. See what people have sold to the shop.
