Arctic encountered a failure that it could not recover from during an upgrade process. The system is currently being restored and our estimated time right now is 18 hours. The restore does come with a price, the last backup available was from January 23rd (last Wednesday). I will try to keep this thread updated as I get more news, but that is the story so far.

No, items that where loaded between the Wednesday backup and now will not be restored. No reimbursements will be given (except maybe to re-dt Ilya).

I do apologize to anyone that had acquired that shiny new bronze shield or the +6 Krang of Otyugh Slaying, however since we are unable to do a full restore, we cannot do partial restores or reimburse characters for their loss.

well that kinda blows assuming it isn't the player bases fault for the crash...but suffer all the down falls

There is not a way to tell what was popped and what wasn't...this is why a restore is necessary in the first place. It's not an ideal situation and nobody is saying it is but it's what is required to get the mud up and running again.

Over the years things have happened to this game good and bad.  At least there was a recovery available and a decent back up of the player database.  We could have had to have an emergency player wipe.  Keep up the good work Hoss and others.   Keep us updated!

Idea for the future:  Daily or every other day backups of player database maybe 2-3am system time.

On a funny side note, I just started playing my scout again after a several month hiatus. Finding him deadbeat, I started the re-equip process...on Thursday of last week.
